The job itself
The PE department at Withernsea High School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate PE teacher, to join our team covering the maternity leave of a colleague.
Withernsea High School is a smaller than average local authority maintained secondary school, situated in a pleasant rural coastal area. Our most recent Ofsted inspection in November 2021 maintained our ‘Good’ grading across all areas and we pride ourselves on being a school at the heart of our community.
We aim to provide an excellent and relevant education for our students, broadening their horizons through our curriculum of the Head, Hand and Heart and striving to prepare them for exciting and varied futures as respectful and responsible people.
To help us realise our ambitions we seek applications from an outstanding Teacher of PE who is not just passionate about their subject and committed to the profession, but who is ambitious for our young people and the community we serve. Applications are invited.
from both newly qualified and experienced professionals. As part of our team, we can offer you-
- A unique opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of students
- A highly skilled ambitious, committed, and supportive team who are passionate about the difference we can make to our young people, staff, families, and the wider community
- An outstanding learning environment with recently re-built facilities
- A collaborative and positive environment with colleagues who care
At Withernsea High School, we are committed to the wellbeing of our community and recognise that our staff and students are most successful when they feel happy, valued, challenged, and supported to achieve their very best.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and talented teacher who is eager to inspire and challenge. If you care about the success of your students and colleagues, and have the determination to make that success a reality, we would welcome your application.
If you would like a conversation about the school and the post with the Headteacher, Mark Crofts.
