Due to the yearly increase of students wishing to study Psychology, we need to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of Psychology with the ability to produce excellent results. Psychology is an integral part of the Humanities faculty and a popular subject at both GCSE and A-level.
You would be joining both a successful and welcoming team that is dynamic and dedicated to supporting teachers to develop and challenge themselves professionally.
You will have the ability to excite and motivate young people, be committed to bringing imaginative ideas into the classroom and be able to turn students with promise into skilful, successful and independent learners.
Applications are welcome from more experienced colleagues, and a recruitment payment of £2,000 will be available.
The role and responsibilities include:
- Provision of high-quality teaching of Psychology
- Teaching of criminology is also possible
- Raising student attainment
- Assessing, recording and reporting on student progress
- Supporting the vision and values of the school
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- The ability to teach Psychology at KS4 and/or KS5 – the ability to teach another social science or humanities subject would be an advantage
- Up-to-date and inclusive teaching methodology
- An ability to work confidently within a team and communicate effectively
- A passion for inspiring young people to attain the highest level possible
