We are seeking to appoint a talented Teacher of Religious Education to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to join The Hamble School during a period of rapid improvement and change. Our vision ‘We Care, We Aim High, We Learn and Achieve Together’ encapsulates the work we do every day. Our intake numbers are increasing – we currently have 1170 students and are looking to expand our staffing further.
The Religious Education Department consists of a dedicated team of experienced staff. It is well-resourced with a number of specialist classrooms within the Humanities building. The number of students opting to study GCSE RE is high and we currently follow the AQA course. Outcomes have improved over the last two years and we offer many extra-curricular opportunities.
We are seeking to appoint a talented Teacher of Religious Education who is passionate about their subject, able to inspire and motivate our learners and is keen to work as part of a wider Humanities Team.
We are looking for someone with:
- Excellent presentation skills and the ability to produce original and outstanding resources
- A helpful and friendly personality who values teacher-student relationships
- Strong teamwork skills to support colleagues and trainees
- Ambition and high expectations for our students
- A secure use of data
- Willingness to take part in extra-curricular activities, intervention and trips abroad.
This position would suit an experience teacher or an ECT.
