Religious Studies is part of the Humanities Department, which is a well - resourced area with its own teaching block, classrooms and staff room. The appointed teacher will have their own classroom as well as use of a dedicated RS office and a well-used and sociable humanities staffroom.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of RS and PSHE who would enjoy being part of our forward thinking Humanities team.
Cranbourne’s RS Department is well valued within the school and has a fully planned and resourced, knowledge rich, diverse curriculum with topics focusing on philosophy, religion and ethics. Currently, all students study the subject to GCSE through AQA with our optional religion being Buddhism. The RS department is committed to improving the life opportunities of every student through the taught curriculum and extensive extra-curricular offer and we would welcome applicants who can contribute to this.
PSHE is taught in dedicated lessons as part of curriculum time by specialists, including a Trustee of the PSHE Association. Lessons promote health, living safely and well in the wider world. As well as health, sex and relationships, lessons cover financial literacy and citizenship.
Our staff are dynamic and committed to improving the life chances of our students. We need a self-motivated and reflective teacher who has strong interpersonal skills and is an excellent team player.

This position would be suitable for an experienced teacher or an ECT.
