We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified teacher who can support the delivery of Science as a Physics or Chemistry specialist, who can also support the delivery of our Engineering and Health specialisms, you will work alongside the staff team to further develop a centre of excellence focusing on Engineering & Manufacturing along with Health & Life Sciences. Under the direction of the Curriculum Director you will support the delivery of a range of qualifications. These include Combined and Triple Sciences at KS4 and A-Level Physics and Chemistry, the ability to also support aspects of the Engineering and Health specialisms which includes Cambridge National L2 Certificates in Engineering Manufacture, Engineering Design or Systems and Control, BTEC L2 Health & Social Care along with BTEC L3 Engineering or Health and Social Care at Post-16 would be an advantage.
You will be a highly skilled practitioner who understands the challenges of educating 13-19 year olds in an employer-led technology-rich environment. Effective partnership working is absolutely critical to the UTC’s success. It opened within The Sheffield UTC Academy Trust, which has a wealth of experience with two UTCs in Sheffield both graded Ofsted Good.
