We are collaborating with various schools across Southampton who are recruiting Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants to support vulnerable learners in education. All positions listed and discussed below are to begin in September 2024 following a successful trial day in this final half term.
The Supply Room are searching for individuals who have come from sectors such as Health & Social care, activity instructing, tutoring, mentoring and volunteer youth work.
Our positions are all full-time, working Monday-Friday. Each day will be 08:30-15:30, although this may vary slightly depending on the school. If successful, a school will invite you for a trial shift so you can get a really good idea of the role before committing to it longer term. The roles listed below will pay between £80-£97 per day dependant on the length of the school day. A typical 08:30-15:30 day will pay around £83-£85 per day.
We have new and exciting opportunities to work within forward-thinking and progressive schools that support children and young people of mixed abilities and needs including Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH), Emotional & Behavioural (EBD) needs, and Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND).
It’s important that the successful individuals can demonstrate a genuine passion for working in education and are committed to following a high standard of safeguarding procedures.
Vacancies:
- SEN Teaching Assistant, Post-16 - Totton
- Higher Level Teaching Assistant, Years 3 to 6 – Southampton
- Learning Support Assistant with ages 5-12 – Eastleigh
- Higher Level Teaching Assistant (SEMH) with ages 5-16 – Southampton
- Teaching Assistant, students aged 11-16 with challenging behaviours – Southampton
