Our client is s prestigious school, and they are now seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant. Ideally you will be qualified and enjoy working with Key Stage 1 /2. This is a wonderful school that offers further development and a great team environment.
This is a term time only role and the working hours are 8.00am and end at 5.00pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, and staff meetings are currently scheduled on Thursdays from 4pm.

Your role as Teaching Assistant:
- Working with Key Stage 1/2 and to maximise the learning opportunities for pupils.
- Maintain high standards of teaching and learning by following the policies and practices of the School.
- Inspire pupils with a love of learning and to introduce and maintain good learning and working habits through good practice.
- Work independently with small groups to support pupils' learning, under the guidance of the Class Teacher and other relevant staff.
- Deliver phonics teaching and learning sessions with small groups.
- Attend to the pastoral care of the pupils.
- Ensure that there is excellent communication and partnership between School and Home, with parents kept informed of their child's progress throughout the academic year as appropriate.
- Attend weekly staff meetings.
- Follow procedures for communicating with the Curriculum Leaders, the Assistant Heads, the Headteacher and others, information concerning pupils whose academic progress gives cause either for celebration or concern.
- Protect and nurture the Catholicity of the School.
- Communicate and liaise with colleagues as required regarding important events, updates, deadlines and matters that may affect the day-to-day running of the school.
The person:
- Previous Teaching Assistant experience or strong desire to move into this type of role
