SEMH Teaching Assistant
We are currently recruiting for a full time TA in an Alternative Provision in Bolton, starting ASAP.
Role:
Are you a passionate Teaching Assistant with experience in SEMH?
The School are looking for a Mentor who is confident to adapt to any situation and who is knowledgeable enough to support learners with behavioural issues and behaviours that challenge!
They are a secondary alternative provision who serve young people who have been permanently excluded from mainstream education. A welcoming and supportive environment that offers fresh starts for all students, regardless of their previous educational experience.
The curriculum is designed to address barriers to learning, enabling students to re-access mainstream education where appropriate, and shape students into happy, healthy adults who contribute positively to society.
Requirements:
- 6 months experience working with children
- Experience and knowledge of supporting children with SEN and complex needs
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Confidence to adapt to any situation
- DBS on update register
- References for last 2 years work history
- Up to date CV
