Responsibilities
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting pupils 1 to 1 in a small class setting, promoting the general wellbeing of students within the structure of the school, and ensuring that students are managed in accordance with school expectations during their time at school. You will also liaise with teachers, care staff, and parents to create an effective team sharing knowledge and information, and play a leading role in the management of resources within the designated teaching area. Some personal care may be required.
Requirements
You don't need SEN experience to apply, but you do need empathy and compassion, physical and mental resilience, and the drive to make a real difference to the lives of young people. Additionally, you must have a minimum Grade C or equivalent in English Language & Maths, as well as excellent literacy and numeracy skills, common sense, communication skills, and patience.
