Part Time 11.5 hours per week (term time only) 38 weeks per annum
An opportunity has arisen at St Michaels C of E Primary School for an enthusiastic, talented, resilient and committed person to encourage, motivate and support children in the school Nursery. School work is rewarding and satisfying with no two days the same. You will ultimately be part of a team ensuring a safe and happy learning environment for all children. The position will be for 5.75 hours per day during term time, two days per week, ideally Monday's and Friday's. This is a Fixed Term Post to the end of the Summer Term due to increasing pupil numbers in the School.
As a Teaching Assistant you will need to be calm but firm and enjoy working with children, having a minimum qualification at GCSE Maths and English. Experience of working in a classroom situation or a qualification as a Teaching Assistant, NVQ2 or NVQ3 would be ideal. We are looking for someone who can continue to liaise and build relationships with parents and families and, therefore, good and courteous communication skills are a necessity.
Our whole team is motivated, hard-working and dedicated and we value a new colleague who is passionate about learning, highly organised, with a great sense of humour, who will participate fully in school life. Our highly successful federation is a popular choice with children, parents and staff and our schools boast a friendly and welcoming environment.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults, and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
