Teaching Partner/Play Leader Needed
We work alongside a Primary School in central Gloucester who is currently looking for a Teaching Partner, who will also take on Play Leader responsibilities. This role is needed as soon as possible. The hours for this opportunity are 8.30-3.45 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and on a Wednesday the hours are 8.30-2 as the school shuts early on Wednesdays. This is an ongoing role until the end of the academic year.
The school needs someone with a positive attitude and someone who is approachable. Previous experience of working with children is really important to the school as they need someone with a real passion and knowledge for working with children. SEN experience is also really beneficial for this role. As this is needed to start asap, having a DBS on the update service would be very helpful.
What will you need to do on a daily basis?
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and assist teachers in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources.
- Complement teachers’ delivery of the national curriculum and contribute to the development of pupils and school policies and strategies.
- Create a safe and stimulating outdoor environment providing social, active and creative play experiences for all.
- Work with the Year 6 Playground Buddies to ensure lunchtimes are safe, productive and allow pupils to engage in meaningful play
What has Ofsted said about the school?
"You and other leaders, including governors, are dedicated, enthusiastic and ambitious for the pupils. You do not accept excuses in holding others to account, so that the pupils can thrive. Since your appointment, you have overseen several strategic changes. These include restructuring staff and leadership positions, as well as adapting the structure of classes so that they evolve continually with the changing needs of the pupils and school community".
