JOB TITLE:Team Manager - Premium Processing Department

Job Overview
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an individual who will be responsible for the day-to-day line management of a team of Insurance Technicians. The role involves a strong element of team support and leadership, interpersonal, management and customer relations skills. Excellent personal organisation and prioritisation skills are required along with the ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities.
Training will be provided for all systems required to perform the role.
What you will be doing:
- Forecasting workloads and associated resource requirements - using AOM Methodology to continually drive performance improvement.
- Workflow Management - distributing and managing work across your team to meet business plans, taking corrective action to re-plan and re-prioritise at critical points to ensure daily plans are achieved.
- Managing Quality - Supporting your team to achieve quality, control and compliance standards, including monitoring compliance of ISAE audit controls.
- Performance Management - Conducting regular Team meetings, 1:1s and Performance Reviews with team members. Coaching and developing team members.Identifying developmental & training needs and putting effective plans in place to address gaps.
- Deliver Great Customer Service - Manage customer relationships and build effective working relationships with internal & external customers.
- Manage Change and Innovation Initiatives - Supporting your team through periods of change.
We’re looking for people who have:
- Strong numeracy, verbal, and literacy skills.
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Outlook and MS Office.
- Work to a high level of accuracy with attention to detail.
- Strong organisational, personal and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and the desire to progress their career to a more senior level.
- Previous experience of managing people and teams especially where your knowledge of their day-to-day role is limited, due to the complex technical nature of their roles.
- Ability to work under pressure to meeting challenging deadlines.
- Ability to manage own workload to meeting business requirements and timescales.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to change focus quickly as business needs change.
- Commercial awareness & business acumen.
- Involvement in innovation &/ or process improvement projects.
Desirable Skills:
- Workflow management and capacity planning experience
- Experience/ understanding of AOMI Methodology
- Insurance background, preferably London Market experience
