Permanent Contract, Full time (39 hours per week, 06:00 - 14:00)
A full time, permanent opportunity has arisen at our Barnsley site for a Team Manager to join the team. Leader of multidisciplinary operations team to deliver all aspects of output to standard metrics (SQDCPM) in an engaging and collaborative way to create capability and overall delivery.
The successful candidate will:
- Ensure all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are followed. Supporting a behavioural safety culture highlighting positive and negative behaviour, ensuring teams works in a safe, hygienic manner following company guidelines, escalating accidents and incidents in the appropriate way.
- Ensure that food safety and product specifications are met, ensures the team observes GMP guidelines and follows information/process instructions. Manage and escalate food safety / quality issues where necessary.
- Manage the performance of both the Line reliability and individuals through effective. Work consistently at the target rate without generating rework or rejected product. · Takes a clear role during changeovers and maintains a clean as you go approach
- Ensure a multi skilled team are in place and a TNA is conducted to support future succession planning and capability of the team utilising a coaching methodology.
- To ensure all HR matters are managed appropriately including absence management: welcome back conversations and absence policy management, dealing with instances of misconduct and grievances and working with the HR team to ensure a motivated team.
- Communicating long and short-term goals with the team, ensuring everyone understands their role and the part they play in the team, giving business updates and briefings as appropriate.
- Collecting Colleague feedback and ideas to provide to frontline management so that Colleague is confident that their voice is heard.
- Manging the resource planning for the line – ensuring that we have the skills to meet the plan requirements including the scheduling of holiday and overtime where required.
- Conducting Employee Development reviews (EDR’s) to ensure all Colleagues can realise their full potential in addition to support any growth opportunities.
- Ensure that hygiene standards are maintained through effective GMP across the team.
- Working with peers and support functions to move the Carlton Culture forward.
- Reporting on SIC to bridge any downtime and corrective actions required through the shift.
- Ensuring the appropriate handover processes are in place to ensure the consistent ongoing running of the cell.
- Develop subject matter expertise on all operations processes in assigned department, helping to solve opportunities through deep dives.
What we need from you:
- Previous experience of Team Leading
- Practical knowledge of CI tools and techniques
- Excellent Communication skills.
- IT literate
- Able to collaborate and influence, peers and senior management to drive progress and achieve desired results
- Ability to build teams.
- Analytical Enjoys and has demonstrated the use of data.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Demonstration of continual growth through further education.
- Ability to build and continuously develop effective teams.
- Experience of change management and implementation of CI standards.
