Team Manager - Early Intervention & Family Support

We are looking for a Team Manager to join our Early Intervention and Family Support Service. You will be joining an Ofsted-recognised OUTSTANDING early help service that believes in proactive support. Hours: 36 per week
Location: South East London
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £46,354 per annum 

Responsibilities:

• Manage Children & Family Centre and Family Support Team in a Reach Area
• Supervise, manage and appraise staff performance
• Be the safeguarding lead and decide on emergency or escalation responses
• Audit and review EI&FS processes and performance and take actions to improve best practice
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulation and guidance on safeguarding and Early Intervention
• Provide effective service provision, purchasing/commissioning and financial expenditure systems
• Deputise for the Head of Service when needed
• Participate in weekly panel to review and discuss referrals, challenge ideas and understand thresholds and capacity
• Implement OFSTED ILACS rigorously, maintaining high standards.

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in social work, CQSW, CSS or equivalent.
• Registered with SWE.
• Capability of practice in accordance with current professional standards.
• Flexibility for occasional weekend and evening work.
• Warm and enthusiastic with strong interpersonal, communication, organisational, and IT skills.
• Familiarity with 'Supporting Families' agenda and managing Family Support and Parenting Practitioners.
• Lead on specific focus areas, such as crime and antisocial behaviour, practice development, and data.
• Actively challenge and drive change, ensuring focused support for families under pressure.
• Deliver Evidence-Based accredited parenting classes and prioritise children's safety.
