Position Overview: As a Family Law Team Secretary, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of the family law department. From managing administrative tasks to facilitating excellent client communication, your contributions will be vital to the success of the team and to clients helping them navigate one of the most cheallenging periods of their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the family law team, including managing schedules, arranging appointments, and handling correspondence.
- Type up documents and letters that will have been dictated by Solicitors via an electronic dictation system with accuracy.
- Prepare and format legal documents ready for court
- Assist with file management, maintaining electronic and physical filing systems, and ensuring records are up-to-date.
- Coordinate client engagement including gathering necessary documentation, drafting engagement letters, and maintaining client databases.
- Liaise with clients, solicitors, court personnel, and other parties involved in legal proceedings, demonstrating professionalism and excellent communication skills.
- Assist with billing tasks, including preparing invoices, tracking billable hours, and managing client billing inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a secretary or administrative assistant
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
