We are looking for an experienced Technical and Product Support specialist to evaluate our offering into the Electrical Wholesale market, must have the ability to assemble electrical components within electrical distribution products for bespoke capacities, the ability to provide technical support in the design of electrical systems and to identify solutions in design.  To be successful, you should be able to read electrical system design plans and recommend solutions based on technical specifications.

Technical Support Engineer

The Role

• Work with Electrical contractors, Electrical Wholesalers and other supply chain participants to foster product management and information exchange along the supply chain.
• Ensure high-quality products are available in line with BS7671.
• Attend Trade Shows to provide electrical technical advice on distribution boards.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to electrical components.
  Collaborate with cross functional teams and help educate other associates on products, tasks and resources, communicate effectively with the members of the team, and be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas.
• Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners, identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations, carry out tasks, communicate progress and information, determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities, and adapt to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.
• Develop business plans and Product positioning in the marketplace.
• Support assigned product(s) or have complete responsibility for product line(s).
• Develop new product value propositions and targeted feature sets.
• Testing faulty products to provide detailed feedback on the faults found.
• Participate in routine client calls to existing and new customers where technical assistance is required.
• Evaluate, prioritize and lead decision making regarding new products and marketing opportunities.
• Be recognized internally as 'the go-to person' for the most complex product information.

Technical Support Engineer

 The Candidate

• 2-year electrical, technical, or related qualifications
• Must have electrical experience in the configuration of distribution boards the products we sell.
• Must be ideally qualified to electrician status - Or have proven skills in problem solving within a technical capacity within the electrical industry.
• Must be confident on the phone and face to face as this candidate will be responsible for speaking to our customers and our customers customers about circuit protection.
• Must have capacity to read specification sheets to determine best solutions.
