Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of the major retailers. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious Technical Assistant to join their business.
This role is an excellent opportunity for a Food or Fresh Produce professional looking for their role upwards to join a well-respected food manufacturing company that supplies premium products to a number of retailers.
Key responsibilities:
* Addressing and managing customer inquiries related to technical aspects, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
* Implementing robust quality assurance measures for our suppliers to guarantee the highest quality raw materials.
* Conducting regular technical and quality checks within the manufacturing facility to maintain adherence to established standards.
* Performing internal audits of documents and manufacturing protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Managing the collection of laboratory samples, submission, and thorough review of results, with proactive follow-up on any discrepancies.
* Overseeing the development and maintenance of specifications for finished goods, raw materials, and internal processes.
* Monitoring and ensuring the technical and operational processes adhere to established standards for quality and safety.
* Investigating and resolving customer and supplier complaints, implementing corrective and preventative actions as needed.
* Generating comprehensive monthly reports for the Technical Board, providing insights into key quality metrics and areas for improvement.
* Conducting training sessions for team members on the site Quality Management System (QMS) and HACCP principles.
* Supporting and promoting a positive food safety and quality culture within the organisation
