Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of the major retailers. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious Technical Compliance Auditor to join their business.
Reporting into the Technical Manager, this role is an excellent opportunity for a Food or Fresh Produce professional looking for their role upwards to join a well-respected food manufacturing company that supplies premium products to a number of retailers.
Responsibilities include:
* Act as the designated animal welfare officer, overseeing various activities such as serving as the point of contact for welfare KPI data, coordinating direct observations, managing animal CAPA, conducting collection centre audits, and overseeing the responsible farm assurance scheme for our valued customers.
* Efficiently manage and adhere to the site Quality Management System (QMS) audit schedule. Organise and lead close-out meetings, monitor audit closure progress, and verify the completion of necessary actions.
* Report the Technical Auditor KPI, highlighting open and overdue actions and ensuring effective audit closure. Communicate audit results to technical and senior management, attending technical meetings to report audit trends and supporting the team in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action establishment.
* Provide support to team members in audit closure processes and assist the Technical Manager in BRC and customer audits.
* Conduct daily monitoring of animal welfare using desktop monitors, ensuring compliance with established standards.
* Regularly review and update audit templates in response to changes or introductions of BRC or customer standards. Conduct audit traceability exercises to maintain robust processes.
* Demonstrate a strong understanding and adherence to company policies and procedures relevant to both the site and the working environment.
* Collaborate as part of the HACCP team, contributing to the overall success of our quality and animal welfare initiatives.
* Undertake any other duties deemed reasonable by your line manager or senior management to support the smooth operation of the business.
