Technical Consultant (Infrastructure) - 3rd Line Support
About the job
Based in Newport with the opportunity to work 2-3 days per week at home, the Technical Consultant will be responsible for Infrastructure management (Microsoft 365 & Azure) including:
- Managing a Microsoft 365 tenant in accordance with best practice and business requirements
- Maintaining Microsoft Azure tenant and services (VMs, networks, Firewalls, app services, databases etc.)
The Technical Consultant will also be responsible for:
- Maintaining on-premise network Switches & Firewalls
- Managing and maintaining critical LOB applications
- 3rd Line Support including resolving ServiceDesk tickets that have been escalated and assisting with management of Windows desktop and laptop estate as required
About you
The successful candidate should have experience of:
- Experience of working in a ServiceDesk role
- Experience of working in and Infrastructure role
You will also have a good mix of the following work experience:
- Microsoft 365 applications
- Microsoft Windows Server
- Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services, DNS, DHCP
- Microsoft Exchange Server
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Microsoft Azure Entra ID
- Microsoft Azure services including virtual machines, virtual desktops and app services
- Knowledge of Business continuity and disaster recovery
Any of the following would be a bonus
- ITIL V3 Foundation
- Experience working in the financial sector
- Microsoft AZ-900 & AZ-104 certification
