We have an exciting opportunity within the Central Cockpit Domain based at Gaydon, whose responsibility it is to deliver a range of Product and Services covering, infotainment, connected telematics and over the air technology such as SOTA. We are seeking an experienced Programme Delivery Manager to join our Domain team and with this you will be part of an experienced, energetic high performing organisation, who operate effectively within a complex and innovative stakeholder landscape.
In your role as a Programme Delivery Manager for the Cockpit Domain you will be responsible to drive the delivery of the underlying enabling in-vehicle software capabilities for the cockpit domain that support the delivery of a defined programme of work. This will include ensuring the timely delivering off cockpit domain responsible products, systems, and features in-line with the agreed programme statement of work.
You will be expected to work with closely with other domains both inside and external to DPP and specifically with the programme team to ensure the cockpit domain deliveries are achieved in a timely manner to support the overall programme milestone requirements by working to identify and resolve dependencies and impediments between the organisations.
You should have a strong working knowledge of agile software development methodologies and have a broad overall understanding of cockpit technologies, with a self-motivated and pro-active approach to drive the overall programme delivery.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Develop and own the overall cockpit domain delivery plan to support the programme by working with the contributing cockpit domain POs and SMs and ensuring this is aligned and appropriately prioritised within the wider EVA25 programme delivery.
Work with the programme team to align the cockpit domain delivery plan to the overall program timing and milestone plan.
Work with Cockpit Domain Product Owners and Scrum Masters to drive the delivery of the cockpit domain contributions to the programme.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
The successful candidate will be self-motivated and be able to lead individual and group tasks outside of the structured program cadence. Professional agility is critical as tasks and their inputs may be dynamic and will demand the ability to inspect outcomes and adapt approach. Also, seek to ensure consistency of process and organisational efficiency, while supporting the value of self-organising teams.
Essential:
Proven delivery management of complex SW based systems and components.
Proven delivery experience using project management methodologies – eg. - Agile, Lean, Waterfall
Experience in developing and maintaining SW delivery plans.
Experience in creating programme metrics to support effective programme governance.
Relevant line manager experience as the role may require line management once established.
Working knowledge of agile
Experience of managing projects & backlogs in tools such as Confluence & JIRA
Ability to manage diverse teams and multiple priorities.
Obsessed with quality of end-to-end delivery of product with a deep understanding of how platform quality impacts the customer experiences and manufacturing process.
Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility and focus on results/outcomes.
Strong oral and written communication
Fluent knowledge of English
Degree in Computer science, Business, or a related relevant experience
Knowledge of Vehicle Networks and Comms
Knowledge of Connected Service delivery platform including understanding of the off-board architecture and solution components to deliver account and subscription management solutions.
Knowledge of GPDR legislation and experience of delivering personalised experience to a connected product
Knowledge of the automotive SW industry desirable
