Technical Department Administration Assistant
Salary: to £25,000 pa
Location: Great Gransden - Own transport required due to location
A Technical Department Administration Assistant is required by an established Engineering Design & Manufacturing company to oversee administrative tasks within a design/technical engineering office environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage and administer the MRP (Material Requirements Planning) software, performing tasks such as:
- Generating Bills of Material based on drawings and parts lists.
- Creating Sales Order numbers for stock contracts.
- Generating pick lists for both Stores and Manufacturing departments.
- Advising Purchasing on all part requirements for contracts.
- Closing works orders for items marked as "ready for delivery."
- Maintain the Parts database to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Undertake any additional responsibilities falling within the Operations Administrator's purview.
- Provide support for the MRP System Administrator and assume their duties as needed.
- Perform various administrative tasks in an engineering office environment.
- Generate Sales Order numbers for stock contracts.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience within an administration environment.
- A good telephone manner.
- IT Skills. (Word, Excel & Outlook).
- Able to multi-task.
Training will be given; however, candidates will need to be IT literate, keen to learn and have some administration experience.
The hours for this role are Monday to Thursday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm and Friday 8:30 am - 4:00 pm.
