Great opportunity for a Technical Engineer - 35-45k pa, 25 days holiday, 37 hours per week, paid for ongoing cost of qualifications, free parking and more!
Our successful, established client specialises in heating technology solutions to the domestic and non-domestic market, and as the Technical Engineer, you'll be talking to installers, contractors and consultants over the telephone and/or video sharing software, in a clear and confident manner, to explain technical operational issues and site snagging (including talk through fixes).
Reporting into the Technical Manager, you'll be office based with occasional off-site visits accompanying the Project Manager, so a driving licence is essential for this role.
As the Technical Engineer you will enjoy:
• 35-45k pa (dependant on experience)
• 37 hours per week - Monday to Friday
• 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Thursday with a 4.30pm finish on Fridays (1 hour lunch break each day)

Responsibilities for the Technical Engineer include:
• Providing excellent customer technical support for all incoming technical enquiries and ensuring they are satisfactorily resolved in a timely, accurate, professional and friendly manner
• Ensuring that all internal and external communications are clear, concise, professional and friendly and result in positive feedback
• Being a font of knowledge on all products and systems supplied by the company, including an in-depth knowledge of spare parts
• Maintaining a system of document control, including making sure all documentation is technically correct; manuals, sales literature, website product pages, CAD and BIM drawings are up to date, plus maintaining a library of relevant and up to date standards
• Making sure that if there are any Health & Safety issues associated with on-site work or products (either current or future), these issues are addressed or mitigated
• Developing and maintaining good technical working relationships with key suppliers
• Ensuring that all incoming and outgoing technical verbal and written communications are of the highest standards of customer service and professionalism
• Occasional site visits with the Project Manager (1-2 times per month)
To succeed as the Technical Engineer you will need:
• Ideally a minimum of 2 years experience (longer is better) in a client contact role in a technical support function in an HVAC orientated engineering business
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to troubleshoot and give technical support to customers and other internal departments
• Experience in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, heating systems and plumbing would be highly advantageous
