Technical Engineer - Cobol/JCL

This is a Technical Engineer contract role working for a financial services company within their Cards Authorisations space working on the development of new products.

The key responsibilities for this role includes:

• Reviewing and owning business requirements for technical feasibility working with Business Sponsor, Architects and Developers in an agile development environment.
• Extending User requirements to include technical AS IS/TO BE
• Attending technical forums, architecture forums and be capable of leading the Product vision delivery discussions at various internal committees.
• Reviewing scheme/regulatory mandates and work with Technical Product Owner and squad to provide solutions.

The key experience and knowledge required for this role includes:

• Experience in designing, development, and integration of large enterprise applications with Cobol, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS.
• Strong domain knowledge on Cards, and demonstrable experience in card issuer authorisations processing working with scheme/s (Visa, MasterCard, LINK, ATM).
• Knowledge in waterfall & agile software development practices.
• Ability to run sessions/discussions with business stakeholders/Product owner to facilitate gathering requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
