AddressBalfour Beatty VINCI is proud to be designing and building a 90KM stretch of the West Midlands section of HS2. We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Interface Engineer (Route wide Buildings) on a three month fixed term contract within the Route wide team.
This role will be based on site in locations around Kingsbury and Lichfield Northern most section of IPT Area North with 16.3km of rural high-speed line to the east of Lichfield and runs North of Curdworth for approximately 13km, through a mainly rural landscape between Sutton Coldfield and Tamworth finishing at Rookery Wood.
Role description:
To ensure that all interfaces are effectively processed to achieve project objectives and control risks associated to those interfaces.
Experienced required
- Engineering Degree holder.
- Experience in the construction industry.
- Experience in delivering multi-discipline projects.
- Proven experience in interface management.
- Experience in railway transport systems engineering is recommended.
- Thorough knowledge of delivering multi-discipline turn-key projects.

About Balfour Beatty VINCI

Our work with HS2 Balfour Beatty VINCI have been awarded a 90km section of the HS2 project from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.
Overall, we will be building the following across all our sites:
- 42 viaducts totalling over 11km
- 66 overbridges
- More than 35 cuttings reaching over 30km
- 56 culverts
- 66 embankments reaching over 33km
- Building four motorway crossings requiring box structures
- Six interfaces with the existing rail requiring both dive-under and overbridge structures
