The client are a leading bioprocessing & sample management business located in Buckinghamshire, collaborating with key clients across the pharmaceutical, biotech and healthcare space to help enhance and deliver novel clinical research.
Description
As a Principal Scientist / Technical Lead you will:
- Act as an SME advising key collaborators on optimal approach to their clinical projects with the businesses
- Develop and optimise scientific processes across the facility to improve accuracy and uncertainty
- Streamline laboratory processes to improve robustness and capability in a high-throughput environment
- Lead and coordinate activities to troubleshoot and resolve complex scientific issues
- Develop Scientific training materials for lab technicians and conduct regular training workshops
- Enhance sample storage and traceability processes throughout the laboratory, maintaining compliance to HTA regs
- Collaborate closely with Quality & Ops & Scientific teams to deliver key projects
Profile
To be successful you will have:
- A degree or higher degree in a biological / biomedical field (PhD highly desired)
- Sound technical expertise in particular relating to bioprocessing, DNA extraction and quantification
- Proven record of leading scientific investigations to troubleshoot, root cause and resolve quality issues
- Success in enhancing scientific operation including improvements to accuracy and robustness of key scientific processes
- Experience operating in a regulated ISO15189 environment
- Knowledge of and experience of working in a HTA regulated environment
