SalaryProtea Recruitment is working with a well-known Food Manufacturer in the West Midlands that is looking for an experienced Technical Manager to join their team. We are looking to chat with Technical Managers preferably with protein/ chilled experience, with experience working with food manufacturers who supply to the major retailers.
Job Title: Technical Manager
Location: Wolverhampton
Sector: Chilled
Salary: £50k to £55k (neg)
Schedule: Monday to Friday
The Role:
The main function of this role is to provide technical expertise to the site; senior management; and our customers. You will also oversee site food safety plans and liaise with Quality Management to ensure systems are maintained and adhered to, whilst implementing cost-saving and process improvement measures. Lead and manage the site Technical, Quality Assurance and Hygiene teams ensuring they have the skills, resources, and capability to deliver their duties/objectives. Monitor and report on the site Technical and Quality KPIs, driving continuous improvement. Lead Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) & TACCP programmes.
Skills Required:
- Essential: Experience working with food manufacturers who supply to major retailers in a Technical Management capacity
- Protein/ Chilled experience is highly desirable
- Relevant food science or technology qualification with level 4 food safety and HAACP
