Join a small management team to assist in the running of an established and expanding Bakery business that produces a range of traditional and innovative products from scratch recipes supplying its own shops and a few local wholesale accounts.
Though your principal role will be dealing with the technical aspects, you will be closely involved in the general management and development of the Company and its products as a whole.
You will:
- Be responsible for all aspects of food safety including the team’s adherence to company FSMS, HACCP, relevant legislation relating to labelling and record keeping. Maintain a well functioning kitchen overseeing correct use and maintenance of all plant and machinery. Ensure that the fabric of the facility is maintained and improved to meet legal and company standards by managing a team of cleaners, and overseeing projects to improve the working environment. Maintain training levels for all staff Select and liaise with suppliers Liaise with MD on new product development and launch Oversee daily production and distribution of goods Advise and liaise with Retail Operations concerning food safety and compliance issues at retail sites
- Report to General Business Manager and Managing Director.
