What’s the role about?
In the role of Technical Manager (Leckford), you are tasked with overseeing all Quality & Technical processes to guarantee that Leckford Estate, the Waitrose Farm, consistently manufactures and sells food in compliance with recognised Assurance Schemes, adheres to statutory regulations, and aligns with the Technical policies of Waitrose
You will lead the Leckford Estate, the Waitrose Farm Quality Management System (QMS) Technical Management and Development ensuring safety & compliance at all times. Your role will encompass monitoring and maintaining product, supplier, and customer interactions to align with the quality, safety, compliance, and ethical standards of Waitrose, ensuring all relevant brand guidelines and commercial goals are met.
You will be accountable for Leckford Quality and Technical (operational standards and business culture) to ensure the consistent delivery of food quality, safety & legality across all production, packing and laboratory activities
Processing Dairy (including the laboratory)
Oilseed Processing
Leckford Farm Shop (Local & Regional policy and Own Brand products labelling)
Farming (co-manufacturer for Brut, Cider, Apple Juice and Flour)
What will you have?
Degree in food science (or similar) or equivalent experience in Technical within the Food & Grocery industry
Extensive experience in Technical, manufacturing within the food industry
Supplier Management & Technical Development
Passion for product and quality
Driving Licence
