Our client is a specialist roofing contractor that operates nationwide. They provide surveying services and general roofing refurbs and repairs.
They are in the Market to bring a Technical Manager into the fold due to increased project demands. The successful candidate would be educated to degree level in any construction discipline and have a self-starting and progressive attitude.

This is an adaptable role which can either be office or field based, dependent on the successful individual.
Position Overview - Technical Manager
- Conduct detailed assessments of roofing repair and refurbishment projects, considering factors such as materials, labour, equipment, and timelines.
- Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to gather necessary information and specifications for accurate cost estimation.
- Prepare comprehensive project estimates, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness while meeting profitability targets.
- Review and analyse project plans, drawings, and other relevant documents to identify project requirements and potential challenges.
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets in coordination with the project team and stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, timelines, and budgetary constraints, adjusting as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control assessments to ensure compliance with specifications, safety standards, and industry regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates on project status, addressing concerns, and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Perform detailed surveys of existing roofing structures, assessing condition, integrity, and potential areas of concern.
- Analyse survey data to identify roofing problems, structural weaknesses, and potential hazards, providing recommendations for remedial actions.
- Prepare comprehensive survey reports, documenting findings, observations, and recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to develop optimal solutions for roofing repair, refurbishment, and enhancement projects.
Position Requirements - Technical Manager
- Bachelor's degree in any construction discipline ie. Project Management, Quantity Surveying etc.
- A background in any of the core trades would be beneficial.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects concurrently.
