Technical Manger

Alexander Steele have partnered with a leading fresh produce business based in Kent. Due to recent growth of the business has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Manager to join their site on a permanent basis. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have experience working with M&S and Tesco in previous positions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop the technical and quality team to ensure that all products produced meet food safety, quality, and legal requirements.
• Continuous development of business management systems to ensure product quality meets the organisation and customer quality standards.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections of the production facility to identify areas of improvement and address any non-compliance issues.
• Implement and overseeing GMP, HACCP, microbiological and QC checks.

Experience:

• Experience in technical/quality management roles within fresh produce businesses.
• Excellent working knowledge of BRC standards.
• Specific experience working with M&S and Tesco preferred.
• Lead audit experience
• Qualified to Level 4 HACCP and/or Food Hygiene Certificate Level 4
• Proven ability to successfully influence stakeholders across all levels of the business.

What’s on Offer:

• Paying circa £65,000
• 28 days holiday
• Onsite Monday – Friday (8am-5pm)
