H9 Technical Recruitment are recruiting for a Technical Project Manager to join a leading company involved in the low carbon and renewable energy sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with Engineers and Commercial Developers who work on process, system and equipment design, consulting and project delivery in a growing sector for the business.
Responsibilities
- Provision of project and study management to clients in support of Technical Department activities
- Plan and manage feasibility studies, technical assessments, and economic analyses to evaluate the viability of energy generation & storage projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including discipline engineers, Group project managers, and technicians.
- Support project activities, including site visits, data analysis, and preparation of technical reports and proposals.
- Participate in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting to both project and operational teams as required.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as utilities, regulatory bodies, and technology suppliers, to facilitate successful project execution and maintain industry relationships.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, renewable energy, or a related field
- Experience in the design, engineering, and implementation phases of process and power generation solutions.
- Proficiency in project management techniques to effectively manage time, cost, and quality.
- A recognised Project Management certification, with chartered status an advantage
- Understanding of relevant industry standards
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and practical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to waste treatment and/or energy generation systems.
- Familiarity with renewable energy technologies, such as Energy from Waste, CCUS, battery technologies, energy storage & generation systems.
- Potentially frequent periods of travel, project, and site work
- Occasional overseas travel for meetings, site visits and project work
- Experience of working in multi-national environments would be an advantage but not essential.
- Excellent personal and interpersonal skills such as organisation, communication, and attention to detail.
- Willingness and ability to travel to site facilities and offices across the UK.
