Are you a Technical Sales Engineer or a customer support specialist considering a career transition? We are in search of an individual capable of guiding customers through upgrades and implementing Solution-selling methodologies. Your role will involve collaborating with marketing, engineering, and applications teams to consistently enhance customer experiences and maintain the company's esteemed reputation for service excellence, spare parts provision, and support.
Responsibilities of Sales Engineer:
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets by proactively utilizing sales channels and customer touchpoints to identify end-user needs and propel parts sales.
- Conduct outreach to the existing customer database for upselling services and products, encompassing critical spare parts, maintenance items, packages, software updates, and machine upgrades.
- Travel to customers, collaborate with technicians, participate in sales calls, and attend trade shows as directed to bolster relationships directly with the customer base (occasional).
- Proactively devise tools for easy identification of tool types, usage, and estimated lifespan.
- Cultivate credibility and robust relationships with customers to maximize opportunities for customer solutions.
- Enhance aftermarket revenues through comprehensive resource utilization, including collaboration with marketing for product and service campaigns, applications for product-based trials, and soliciting testimonials from customers.
- Actively engage in cold calls, warm calls, and direct emails to understand customer needs and promote aftermarket offerings. Travel to customers as needed to drive sales.
- Leverage CRM and existing customer interactions, seizing opportunities to uncover and develop leads for sales.
Requirements for Technical Sales Engineer:
- Technical proficiency in CNC routers, 3D printers, lasers, waterjets, or similar industrial machinery.
- Previous experience in an aftersales support role.
- Competence in using Microsoft Office packages and CRM systems.
- Customer-facing experience is an advantageous asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Background in Technical Sales is highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel and stay away from home for training in 2-4 week periods.
- Possession of a full UK driving license and a valid passport is mandatory.
