Technical Sales Executive required for electro-mechanical product manufacturing company based in Folkestone, Kent.
Established in 1926, this small but globally reaching business designs and manufactures innovative high quality testing equipment for industry (construction, marine, power, oil & gas etc).

The company is seeking a Sales Person with a technical background, who is familiar with selling products via Distributors, Dealers and Direct end user customers around the world. This work is mostly office / home based although candidates must be happy to travel over-seas a few times per year.

As the ideal candidate, you will leverage your Technical Sales acumen to fortify existing partnerships, ensuring impeccable service delivery and fostering lasting relationships with valued customers, dealers and distributors.
Technical Sales Executive Requirements:
– Technical / Engineering understanding, comfortable selling technical products and providing basic user-training.
– Open and engaging manner, appropriate self-presentation to represent the company to customers.
– Able to demonstrate successful track record and progression in a commercial or business environment, particularly in Business-to-Business sales.
– A team player, able to demonstrate strong negotiation skills and build relationships.
– An analytical mind, numerate and literate, with an appropriate command of written & spoken English.
– Excellent presentation and reporting skills, proficient use of MS Office and bespoke computer systems.
– Ability and willingness to travel worldwide, to take part in exhibitions, customer visits, etc.
– Enthusiasm, Energy & Drive. Flexible approach and willingness to further learn, adapt & grow in a fast paced developing business
– Excellent planning and organization skills. Able to work within strict deadlines and deal with changes.
– Eligible to work in the UK.
– Foreign Language an asset (but not essential)
Technical Sales Executive Responsibilities, Goals & Objectives
– Manage the assigned Territory
– Ensure prompt, appropriate and thorough replies to all customer requests.
– Follow established internal processes to;
Add new customers to internal databases
Prepare and present quotations.
Obtain and communicate delivery timing estimates.
Enter customer orders.
Track customer orders, ensure customers are appropriately updated.
– Follow up on sales, ensure ongoing customer relationship to facilitate repeat orders.
– Provide and present training to customers, and end users, on the safe and correct use of the products.
– Analyse market potential – be the regional expert within the Company
– Coordinate sales and marketing efforts in the region.
– Lead the Company presence at exhibitions in the region, and support colleagues at exhibitions elsewhere.
