Job description

This position is an exciting opportunity to join a growing IT Department and become a member of the IT Service Desk team within a global company. The company was founded in Glasgow in 1975 but now has 22 offices globally. They are currently going through an exciting technical transformation and are looking for a Technical Support Analyst to strengthen the team. The ideal candidate will have experience in similar positions and a passion for providing Technical Support solutions to clients.
The Role:

  • To provide first response to incoming requests and incidents that are received by the IT Service Desk
  • New Starters and Leavers administration
  • Support the development and maintenance of our technical knowledge base.
  • Innovation and Continual Service Improvements.
  • Responsibility for supporting and maintaining the company\'s IT systems and for providing efficient desktop support to all business users.
  • To provide application support to our internal users.
  • The department is responsible for resolving any IT related faults quickly and efficiently.
  • Setting up and configuring new laptops, desktops and mobile devices.
  • Installing authorised software for laptops, desktops and mobile devices.
  • Reporting faults and maintaining logs on desktops and laptops.


Experience:

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience of working in a 1st/2nd line Technical Support capacity.
  • Experience with supporting customers over the phone and in person.
  • Experience of ticket management.
  • Windows Server 2012 / 2016 / 2019 etc
  • Windows 10 / 11
  • Microsoft Office / O365 applications
  • Experience of Administering Users, Groups, Policies in Microsoft Active Directory and EntraID.
  • Setting up new users and disabling expired accounts.
  • Patching of network and phones.
  • Undertaking small- to medium-sized IT moves and projects.
  • Be passionate about technology

Benefits:

  • Salary £28,000 - £32,000 per year
  • Hybrid working

  • This is a permanent position.
  • Full time Monday - Friday
