Technical Support Lead - Ultrasound

A highly regarded organisation specialising in the service, repair and maintenance of medical equipment are seeking a specialist Technical Support Lead.
As the Technical Support Lead, you will take responsibility for ensuring day to day task are coordinated effectively and technical escalations are monitored, whilst being the point of contact to engineers within their Ultrasound modalities team and providing support in the field.
This role will be site based in the Reading, Berkshire area and will include travel across the UK to customer sites.
Key accountabilities:
- Ensuring timely communications are provided, the plan of action is cascaded, and Customer Escalation Review is adopted efficiently.
- Alongside management - plan, coordinate and deliver training for the Ultrasound/Injector team members.
- Aiding with professional growth-process and ensuring development of the team is achieved.
- Develop remote capabilities and relevant training.
- Promote the use and updates of Knowledge Base to increase efficiency of repair.
- Present on-site whenever field duties permit, to engage with Ultrasound Probe repair lab and drive new road mapping of Ultrasound systems in a workshop environment.
- Assist with projects and programs to drive quality and productivity, alongside road mapping, tooling, and training needs for the future.
- Safety lead, providing support and guidance on Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) when required for other team members.
- Support the recruitment process to ensure optimal candidates are selected.
- Execute other tasks assigned by the management related to this position.
Experience/skills required:
- Must have excellent knowledge of Ultrasound equipment
- Biomedical Engineering background
- HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline
- Must have a full UK Drivers licence.
- OEM training preferable
