The Fleet & Workshop Technical Support Officer will support the Fleet and Workshop team who provide and maintain a fleet of fire response appliances, cars and operational equipment. The main duties will include parts ordering and stock management, account management and invoice processing. Other duties include contractor liaison for outsourced services, compliance document record keeping, fuel account management, processing insurance claims and vehicle taxation. Motor trade experience is desirable for this post.
The Technical Services Technical Support Officer will be supporting the Technical Services team who ensure personnel are provided sufficient PPE and appliances are fully stocked with operational equipment. The main duties will include ordering PPE and equipment, usage of supplier systems, using electronic systems to issue stores. Other duties include general warehousing, station deliveries, liaising with suppliers and keeping all certificates and documents accurate and electronically stored. Experience of providing Technical Support in a customer facing environment is desirable.
Both applicants will be the first contact point for vehicle and equipment users so must be able to communicate confidently with people at all levels. They must also be able to use their own initiative, prioritise work and meet deadlines. The post holders will have a wide and varied workload including collection and delivery of equipment and vehicles therefore candidates must hold a current UK car licence.
Experience in Microsoft applications and detailed experience of electronic asset and stock management systems are desirable.
