We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Technician / Senior Technician to support the continuing success of their Birmingham office.

The ideal candidate will be working towards a degree in Civil Engineering (or an equivalent qualification) and have relevant experience in a similar role of 3-5 years,with good knowledge of highway design. They will have experience in the drafting simple designs of both commercial and residential developments including access junction, infrastructure, drainage, standard details and traffic signs and road markings.
This is an excellent opportunity to help develop a strategically important sector of the business as our client is currently engaged in several projects ranging from small scale development up to larger scale projects ranging between 150 to 5000 residential units and supporting infrastructure.
You will be working on a wide range of challenging projects and receive support, training and mentoring from senior professionals within the business with a real commitment from senior management towards personal and professional development.
Technician / Senior Technician required skills and experience:
- Knowledge and experience of highway design standards – DMRB, Manual for Streets and NRSWA.
- Knowledge and experience of technical drafting and adhering to quality standards, be proficient in self-checking, and prides themselves on the quality of the outputs that they produce.
- Knowledge of highway and drainage adoption processes and legal requirements for S278, S38 and S104.
- Good understanding and use of software packages including AutoCAD, Civils 3D, KeySigns/Lines and Vehicle Tracking.
- Good time management and organisational skills with the ability to maintain good records.
