Our core business activities are teaching and learning, widening access to education, research and innovation and technology and knowledge transfer. - THE ROLE - As part of the neuromuscular research team at Ulster University, the successful applicant will join an exciting new industry-funded project to develop biomarkers and therapeutics for a range of neuromuscular and neurodegenerative conditions. The post holder will be fully dedicated to the provision of technical support to the neuromuscular research team. This will include the performance of experimental investigation and analysis, the installation and configuring of new equipment, and the diagnosis and resolution of technical issues/problems. Experimental investigations may include cell and tissue culture, a range of molecular biology assays, and assistance to in vivo experiments. - ABOUT YOU - The post holder must have: - A levels or BTEC ND/NC or equivalent qualification in a relevant health or life sciences discipline or related subject. - Working experience, at an appropriate level, in a clinical or scientific related technical setting. - Practical working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations to include familiarity with COSHH and risk assessments.
