School of Health in Social Science

Full Time - 35 Hours Per Week

Contract Type - Open Ended

The Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Learning and Information Technology team in the School of Health in Social Science at the University of Edinburgh.

The post-holder will provide a broad range of Technology Support to the School in liaison with the Learning and Information Technology Manager to ensure smooth operation of learning and information technology systems and delivery of a wide range of support services.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week).

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Experience providing maintenance of hardware including desktop PCs, Mac and Windows laptops and supporting end users with IT troubleshooting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues to a variety of users.
  • Ability to quickly learn how to use new tools effectively and to liaise with Technology Support staff in troubleshooting and resolving issues
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and organisational skills with the ability to manage own workload and respond to priority tasks
