Salary Telephony/Network Communications Engineer
This telecom solutions provider is seeking a highly skilled Network Communications Engineer with current telephony manufacturer certification to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining complex network communications systems for their clients.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the installation and support of the equipment at customer's premises to ensure effective service within agreed time scales and to the standards required by the companyEnsure the appropriate level of liaison between accredited partners, sales and customers is delivered to maintain an efficient and effective servicePlan and co–ordinate effective training, ensuring the customer has a sound understanding of the product and the benefits it can offer.Complete the required documentation and reporting in respect of the installation, configuration and commissioning of equipment as requiredResponsible as required for the provision of office–based technical support internally and externallyEnsure all projects you have been assigned are carried out effectively to achieve the agreed goals and targetsResponsible as required for onsite maintenanceEnsure you establish and maintain appropriate internal and external communicationRequirements:
At least 2 years' experience within an enterprise telephony communications engineering/IT field–based roleCurrent certifications from leading telephony manufacturers – Mitel, Cisco, Avaya.Strong knowledge of network protocols, including LAN / WAN solutionsExperience with VMware and LinuxSIP certification or relevant experienceExperience of working with Mitel enterprise telephony portfolio of IP Telephony solutions or equivalentEvidence of ability to investigate issues, analyse and present options for achieving resolutionDemonstrable ability to successfully receive technical training, subsequently deploying the imparted knowledge to best advantage
Ability to work independently and as part of a teamEvidence of ability to investigate issues, analyse and present options for achieving resolutionExcellent written and verbal communication skillsValid UK driving licenceAvailability to travel and work flexible hours as needed (on–call rota)
