We are seeking an HR Support Specialist for an esteemed Independent Preparatory school. The ideal candidate will have a understanding of HR operations within an educational setting. The role involves addressing day-to-day HR functions and providing vital support for more complex issues, including disciplinaries, redundancies, and policy reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement HR software for accurate record-keeping and document management, covering personnel records, absence tracking, and safer recruitment checks.
- Maintain an up-to-date suite of policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Lead effective recruitment campaigns, including creating job descriptions, advertising roles, shortlisting, and planning and scheduling interviews.
- Manage Single Central Record (SCR) to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Foster staff professional development, retention, and well-being initiatives.
- Oversee immigration matters related to the workforce.
- Ensure HR practices adhere to GDPR regulations.
- Implement Absence Management controls for streamlined tracking.
- Manage pension contributions for both TPS and DC schemes.
- Provide support for payroll activities, including processing leavers and onboarding new staff.
- Oversee staff training records, including those mandated by the National College.
- Collaborate with external and legal support as needed.
- Ensure all pre-employment checks align with the safer recruitment policy.
