The role focus will be on visiting LBR TA properties for occupancy checks and inspections.
About the role
The Visiting Officer role carries out inspections of the Temporary Accommodation properties and to ensure that properties are being maintained to a decent standard by tenants.
You will also identify works which are the landlords responsibility and be responsible for reporting them and ensuring landlords comply with their contractual obligations.
This will involve visiting tenants in their own homes and lone working.
You will also be expected to report any welfare concerns that you may have about tenants who are not coping within their tenancy to the Housing Officer or other appropriate agency.
A good general knowledge of property maintenance would be an advantage as well as an understanding of the Housing Health and Safety Rating System.
No specific technical knowledge is required and training will be provided.
