Temporary Accountant

This role does require 5 days on site working closely with the existing finance team.
Your new role
Working closely with the Finance Director and supporting the finance team you will help with the preparations for year end and audit by helping with various balance sheet reconciliations, extraction of data from Sage and manipulation on Excel to provide schedules for the external auditors
You'll support on payroll processing for a small payroll of around 300 staff.
You'll help with general management accounting tasks and any ad hoc projects as directed by the Finance Director.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for an experienced accountant / Senior Bookeeper who is available at short notice and who can commit to the 6 month duration of the contract.
You should ideally have helped with the preparation for year end previously.
Essential - Sage and Excel experience. You must be able to manipulate data in Excel for analysis and reporting purposes.
Essential - Payroll experience - ideally on Sage Payroll.
You will need to be able to work 5 days on site in the Lancaster area.
