Temporary Assistant Accountant

Axon Moore are delighted to be working with this very well established business based in Leeds.  Due to growth and expansion they are now looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their team on a temporary basis.
This is a hands on and varied Assistant Accountant role where you will be responsible for maintaining the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and supporting the finance department with various accounting tasks. 
THE JOB:

• Accurately process supplier invoices and credit notes
• Ensure proper coding and approval of invoices in line with company policies
• Matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes 
• Supplier statement reconciliations
• Preparing and processing payment runs
• Accounts reconciliation
• Processing expense claims
• Processing VAT returns
• Assisting in the preparation of month end reports and management accounts
• Process improvement 

THE PERSON:

• AAT. ACCA or CIMA studier or QBE
• Previous experience in a busy Accounting role
• Experience using XERO accounting software
• First class communication skills 

This is a 3-6 month temporary position and is paying circa £24000 - £30000 depending on experience. (hourly rate equivalent)
