Temporary Buyer

Calling all operational Buyers from engineering backgrounds! One of our most key, exclusive clients are a large, successful engineering business in Doncaster who are looking for a Temporary Buyer to join them immediately for a 6 month period to cover a secondment.
There is also a possibility for this role to become permanent,
The role is 5 days a week on site, with good public transport routes to the site and offers an early finish on Fridays!

• Responsibility for purchasing both direct categories including fittings, flexibles, bearings, hinges, gaskets etc
• Liaise with engineers regarding technical drawings to ascertain material requirements
• Work with suppliers to ensure OTIF delivery of materials
• Raising PO numbers accordingly

Required Experience:

• Previous experience in Buying is essential
• Experience in manufacturing/engineering environment is essential, ideally of component engineering parts
• Purchasing of direct commodities essential
• Capability in using MRP/ERP and Excel
