Are you an experienced Payroll specialist with knowledge of European payroll processes?
We have registered an incredible opportunity to work for this progressive market leader in Central Oxford. Starting ASAP in January, this role will be on an ongoing basis, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
A varied and pivotal position for the business, you will be the ‘conductor’ between the Payroll Provider, HR, and Finance teams, to ensure all aspects of payroll are compliant, accurate and adhering to governance for the UK and European payroll. You will also be tasked with improving and streamlining current processes to ensure a smooth and efficient service to staff.
Please note, this is a temporary position paid on a weekly PAYE basis. This role will start immediately, so sadly candidates with a lengthy notice period cannot be considered.
Temporary European Payroll Specialist Responsibilities
- Overseeing the accurate payroll execution and governance for several European entities
- Ensuring compliance with local regulations and taxation laws, and keeping up to date with any changes and implement as necessary
- Providing guidance on payroll best practices
- Liaising with payroll providers
- Prepare payroll-related reports, including tax filings, benefits usage reports, and reconciliations
- Reviewing current activities, and implementing effective changes to improve processes

Temporary European Payroll Specialist Requirements
- Significant previous experience managing UK and European payroll (specifically Sweden would be desirable)
- Knowledge of UK and European payroll governance and compliance (specifically Sweden would be desirable)
- An analytical mindset
- Previous experience reviewing processes and implementing changes
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to liaise with staff members of all levels
- Able to remain calm under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy levels
Location
This role is based in Central Oxford (OX1), and there is no parking available, so public transport or bike would be the best options.
