We have a fantastic new role for a Finance officer working with a respected financial consultancy firm in central London. This role is an immediate start and running for 8 to 12 weeks. The role offers hybrid working and is a great opportunity to gain exposure to commercial and business risks management and help support business decisions and strategy going forward.
This role will be focused on managing the cash inflows of the company and providing administrative support to the team which includes:
Revenue and receivables (clients: reviewing client agreements to ensure accuracy of billing; updating our revenue tracking system; preparing month end and ad hoc billing; debtor review and management)
Working capital management (minimising work in progress and ensuring timely billing, monitoring of accounts receivable and collection within agreed terms)
Business partnering (working with the revenue-focused business units to ensure completeness of revenue, support the budgeting and forecasting process around revenue, and partnering with business unit heads to help them understand their numbers)
Reporting (revenue, debtors, work in progress, monthly management accounts, annual financial statements and assisting with audit queries)
Systems administration (setting up users and updating details on various systems)
This role will also provide cover and support for the management accountant which includes:
Purchases and payables (suppliers: maintenance of details and payment terms, managing business owner approval of payments, preparation of payment runs, and appropriate allocation of costs in line with budget; employees: management and approval of expense claims and corporate credit cards)
Job Requirement
Essential:
Part-qualified accountant (CA / ACCA / CIMA / AAT)
Relevant experience in a similar role focused on revenue and receivables, including time sheets
Proficient and confident with Microsoft Excel at an advanced level
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with strong analytical skills and ability to work under own initiative and collaborate across departments
Highly organised, action orientated and pro-active: you get things done, when you say you will
An excellent communicator with the ability to work with different personalities to achieve a common goal
Intellectually curious with a can-do attitude and willing to go outside your comfort zone to get involved in projects across the business
Flexible and adaptable, understanding that the needs of a high-growth business do not follow a linear path

Desirable:
Experience in Financial Services, in particular Investment Consultancy in an FCA-regulated environment, and/or Private Equity
Knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS and FRS102 in particular)
Experience working with PowerBI, PowerQuery/PowerPivots
