Our client, based in Kingston is currently looking for a Finance Assistant to assist with their purchase ledger and the wider finance team. This is a temporary booking with the opportunity to become permanent
Key Responsibilities
Timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices ensuring all financial transactions are recorded and accounted forEnsure all invoices are processed correctly, matched to Purchase orders and Good Received Notes and ensuring all documentation is complete including quantities and pricingEnsure all expected credit notes are received and processedEnsure the supplier records in the master files are maintained including credit limits and payment terms and banking information including the set-up of new supplier accounts as required.Effective communication with suppliers, internal departments and other stakeholders to resolve any invoicing discrepancy issuesRespond to supplier queries in a professional and timely manner, resolving issues and providing the necessary informationCollaborate with internal departments ensuring invoices are correctly coded and authorisedEnsure all payments when made are matched to the supplier invoices in a timely manner on completion of the payment runComplete supplier statement reconciliations to ensure the ledger is correct and follow up any variances Person Specification
Experience in a similar roleConfidence in use of IT including Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.Ability to undertake detailed figure work quickly and accurately.Ability to work as part of a team.Ability to write letters and emails that are concise and easily understandableAbility to meet deadlines and to undertake all duties outlined in the job description, under supervision.
