Robertson Bell is once again partnering with a public sector organisation to recruit a Temproary Financial Accountant to join them for an initial 12 month-contract to support them throughout their year end and audit process. The role will be offered on largely remote basis, with travel to London required once every couple of weeks.
The main responsibilities of the Interim Financial Accountant include:
- Act as a key point of contact for the external auditors during the year end process and ensure any recommendations are implemented in a timely fashion.
- Attend the Finance and Audit Committee meetings, presenting the accounts and answering any follow up queries as required.
- Play a key role in the preparation of the annual accounts.
- Ensure that all income and expenditure is correctly accounted for and reflected in the finance system.
The successful candidate will be:
- A qualified accountant.
- Experienced in either producing statutory accounts or as an external auditor.
- A first-class communicator with excellent Excel skills.
- Experience within the public sector is highly desirable but by no means essential.
