What type of person are we looking for?

First and foremost, we always want to recruit talented people who align well with our values and way of working. No previous technical experience is required. We are interested in people who are curious about how things work and enjoy identifying and generating solutions to problems. This will be a hands-on role, requiring an analytical approach and a desire to develop problem-solving skills. The successful candidate should enjoy working as part of a tight-knit team and combining hands-on work experience with formal training at college.

What does the role involve?

• Following a recognised national apprenticeship programme (which includes dedicated time in college) to support the Test & Development team
• Full training and supervision will be provided in key areas, including prototyping, machining and testing
• Prototyping tasks may include producing parts/components required to meet customer specifications
• Machining tasks may involve making simple components used for testing
• Use and control of testing machines to verify product performance
• Providing support for the team on exciting new project areas
